In China, the acceleration of the economic development transformation mode has marked a profound change in socioeconomic reforms. Such change must proceed throughout every realm and process of socioeconomic development with increased comprehensiveness and coordination, so that a more coordinated growth path can come about. Many local governments have developed a long-term strategy in order to coordinate with the changes of the nation’s development model in this new era, and this brings the subject of coordinating macro-strategic management with sustainable development onto the agenda. Long-term development strategy has longterm objectives. But it is changing continuously, and its domestic and international environments are never certain. Since the main body and resources of strategic implementation also changes continuously over time, it is necessary to implement a mechanism for tracking, management, and feedback, so that appropriate adjustments to keep up with events can be made. Otherwise, it will be difficult to guarantee that strategic goals are eventually achieved. This means embedding long-term, operational, and strategic management systems into medium and long-term planning. Such requirements ensure that the strategy to be implemented conforms to the designated path of sustainable development and that long-term strategic goals are met.
